Ratio of incorporated atoms over time—extended nanoparticle simulation The black line shows the ratio between all atoms in the building blocks that are incorporated into a cluster compared to the number of atoms in the initial building blocks consisting of 480 components (120 LCPA, 360 NP). The five biggest clusters are stacked with the largest cluster on top in yellow and the fifth largest cluster at the bottom of the stack in violet. A building block is counted as a member of a cluster if it is closer than 2.8 Å to it. The simulation setup is shown in Fig. 11
