About the Chair
We are honoured to welcome Rodrigo Martins, Full Professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of New University of Lisbon, Portugal, as our chair. Professor Martins is highly active in the materials science community, acting as running President of the European Academy of Sciences, Head of the Materials Science Department of NOVA-STS and a member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering. He also has published over 685 papers and obtained over 35,000 citations, as well as being a member of a variety of scientific communities.
