Confocal fluorescence microscopy of immunofluorescently labeled cells of T. pseudonana (anti-chs7305). The colocalization of chs7305 with chitin by calcofluor white is shown. Beside the bright field images (left side), fluorescence channels are shown as follows: calcofluor white (excitation: UV, emission: BP 445/50 filter) and anti-chs7305 (excitation: UV, emission: BP 525/50). The fluorescence channels were merged as depicted right. Red fluorescence originates from chloroplast autofluorescence (detected as separate channel)
